Internal Combustion Engine Training Lab

The lab system enables students to understand the basic construction of two stroke and four-stroke diesel and petrol engine. The lab also contains basic parts of an engine like carburetor, Fuel injection system, engine-cooling system.

This lab enables student to perform of various experiments such:

  • Disassembly and Assembly of Engines
  • Study and drawing of engine components with dimensions.
  • Study of S.I. Engine with alternative fuels.
  • Study on C.I. Engines with alternative fuels.
  • Study on the effect of fuel injection pressure on the Engine
  • Performance, Heat Transfer and Emission Characteristics.
  • Training Study on the effect of preheating air and fuel on Engine
  • Performance, Heat Transfer and Emission Characteristics.
  • Determination of Volumetric efficiency and Equivalence ratio in a single cylinder D.I. Diesel engine.
  • Determination of Flash and Fire point of various fuel blends. Determination of viscosity of various fuel blends
